DUNEDIN, Feb. 2. In a matcli wliicli produced copybook croquet,- A. Heenan (Wellington) (lefeated Miss M. Claugliton (Lower Hutt) 26 — 6, 26 — 13, for the New Zealsnd open championship. After an excellent round in the second game, Miss Clanghton broke down and allowed her opponent to peg out. The outcome of the first game did not remain long in doubt, Heenan tr^-peeling brilliantly. ^e junior handieap singles title was won by Mrs. S. Holmes (Otago) who defeated Mrs. H. F. Wilson (Southland) 26—16. Miss Claugliton and Mrs. M. J. Kibblewhite (South Auckland) will contest the final of the women ;s championship singles tomorrow. jResults: OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP Miss M.
