WAIROA, Peb. 2. The second day of'the Wairoa meeting opened in dnll weather which later turned bright and warm. A record was ereated in the turnover when the to.te handled £23,058 compared with £18,-1(54 10s' on the second day ;last year, bringing the two . days ' turnover to £51,(502 in comparison with £41,214 10s lasi year. As the result of an inquiry after the running of the Oaf'roll Memorial, V. Bellars, rider of the winner, was sus 'pended for a month to operate after the conclusion pf the meeting, whilst S. T.
