Rotary Club Commences New Year's Work
Members of the Levin Rotary Club as'sembled yes.t.erday for their first weekly luncheon, after the holiday recess* A welcome was extended by the president, Mr.. D. P. Todd, who expressed, the hope .that the year would b.e one of successful effort. Two new members, Messrs. G. C,\ France and C. M. Wallace, we're inducted. The guest speaker was Rev. G. B. Sbote-Blandy, who. gave an account of his recent. visit to Great Britain and 'some interesting observations on conditions there, particularly in regard to. the food •and fuel shortages. Photographs he had taken of bomb damage were shown to members. An English ration book, with its multiplicity of pages. and rationed goo'ds, proved somewhat perplexing. At the conclusion of 'his talk, Mr. "StoteBlandy answered several questions and was accorded a hearty ' vote "of thanks. . -
