Keen Market Demand For Fruit

Townsend and Paul, Ltd., report that during the past few days there has been a particularly keen demand for all choice lines of peaches, plums, greengages and nectarip.es, with peaches and apricots realising ceiling price. Tonia.,toes have been slightly easier as outside grown increase. 'However, there is still a very strong demand for choice hothorise red. Suppiies of vegetables have been very much -easier, with values accordingly very firm, particularly for parsnips, silverbeet, kumeras, swedes and onions. Heavy yardings of poultry have been offered, values, being most attractive.
