. Although the taest of Weather did not prevail at the weekend for. the bowling tournament atOtaki Railway, there were twelve rinkSj in— cluding some from the Wellington and Manawata Centres. The green was in excellent eondition, but astrong wind prevented play being of a high standard. The contest was won bya rink skipped by Jenkins (Eastbourne) , who secured the honours in all five games. Nissen (Petone) , Moffat (Wellington)., Fleming (Wellington) and Merwood '(Otaki) each won four, while Eaton won three, Hook and RUle two each, Sharp and Webster one each, and Henderson nil. • The trophies were presented by Mr. J. Rule, who compliniented tne "winners on their success.
