Levin Now Leads in Rhubarb Weight Derby

Two stalks of rhubarb grown locally, one weighing 28 ounces and the other 25 1 ounces, will give Levin a substantial .lead in the rhubarb weight derby. A report on Friday that a Longburn resident had grown a stalk weighing 14i ounces to beat one of 10 ounces from Dannevirke, brought a Levin gardening enthusiast, Mr. W, Thorley, to "The Chroniele" ofhce on Saturday morning. He had two stajks which, with the fohage trimmed of¥, tipped the scales at the weights stated.
