HOROWHENUA'S FIXTURES The challenge flxture for the Goldfinch and Cousins Cup will be played by a Horowhenua representative cricket team on Thursday, when they will meet Southern ! Hawke's Bay at Dannevirke, The I cup, which is competed for among Ithe minor associations afflliated to ithe Manawatu Association, was iheld by Horowhenua for some years i-until they lost it to . the ■ 'present holders two years s ago. They 'attempted to regain possession of ithe trophy when they played at 1 Pahiatua last year, but were uhisuccessful. j The team to represent HorowheInua for the ehallenge on. Thursday j js as follows : G. Sciascia, F. BaumI ber, A; Saunders, W. Galloway, H., |Rice (captaih), K. Hudson, I. Juno, I D. Lambert, R. Weir, E. Barraud, C. (Carmont and B. "Reeves (12th man). Players are reminded that I cars will leave the Levin Post Office |atv7.30 a.m. Horowhenua senior A and B | representative's will -meet teams from Feilding at Levin on Saturn jday. Both games will eominence at 10.30 a.m. The A game will be ; played 011 the Weraroa cricket (field, while the B match will take 1 place at the Levin Park Domain. The Horowhenua senior A team twill be the same as the one for the ' Goldfinch and Cousins Cup match, : except that S. Holden will take the place of C. Carmont as 11th man, I while B.
