He mdicated that Pakistan would favour a United Xations polieeforce ih Kashmir. Russia and the Ukraine abstained from voting on the Council 's resolution, Hr. (froniyko saying it would be ineffective. Dealing with the Kashmir issue, Sir ZafrulJah Khan said that on Oc-tober 27 the "so-called accession to India" took pjace and the following day airborne Indian troops, were landed in Kashmir. The Indian Grovernment had given Pakistan no intimation of the intention to land troops and no oppor-t-unity for disctission. He added that re'ports continued to 'be received of atrocities and raids into AVest Pakistan from Kashmir territory.
