Received Monday, 11.45 a.m. ADELAIDE, Jan. 19. All metropolitan and country train taaffic ceased in South Australia at midnight last night for an indefinite period. The authorities in Adelaide have made temporary arrangements to carry on business and industry today, and if the stoppage is confined to one day there will be little dislocation, Railway unions are holding stopwork meetings today, during which they will decide whether the strike shall be of / 24 hours' duration or shall conC tinue. They will also seek the opinion of their members on the working of 40-hour week rosters, and on wages and amenities.
