WELLINGTON, Jan. 15. Undesirable books give the Customs Department in New Zealand little trouble. This was stated by the Controller of Customs, Mr. D. G. Sawers. He was eommenting on a Sydney inessage which stated that about 100 books, eonie of which had been on the banned list for 40 years, bad now been removed from the list: Mr. Sawers said a safeguard was provided in this country by a elause in all import licences.
