DON'T WANT PETROL COUPONS
INVERCARGILL, Jan. 15. Southland petrol resellers favour the continuatiou of Ihe present petrol supply system and do not desire to return to coupon rationiug. The Southland branch of the New Zealand Retail Motor Trade Association, at a uieeting yesterday, unanimouslv expressed this opinion. The president, Mr. G. C. Tapper, said thut uuring the past few weeks the position had im-proved in Southland, the majority of the motor ing public beginning to appreciate thc position, and the demand was much more reasonable. Motorists were also beginning to reaHso- tliat the only alteruative to the "'present system was eoupon rationiug.
