Last Monday evening, no fewer than seven cars made the trip from this town. Local enthusiasts seem to favour the Foxton riders and T. O'Leary, W. Doreen and W. Byne had many local backers.' Card Winners • The Poutu Maori Pah committee continue to attract : a good attendance to Laurvig's' Hall each Monday night for the weekly card tournament. The prizewinners at last Monday's tournament were Mr. R. Roberts and Mrs. R. Rob'j erts. The committee report that, due to the generosity of the public of Shannon and district, they have a considerable -sum in hand with which to . carry out much needed improvements to the Poutu Pah at Moutoa.
