WHALES GIVE NAVY AN IDEA
Received Tuesday, 7 p.m. LONDON, Jan. 13. Submarines may look like whales in the future. Aeeording to the periodical. - Nature, scientists are experimenting with model whales in tanks and wind tunneis. They have discovered, says Dr. R. W. L. G-awn, chief of the Royal NaVy's, experimental works, that in the Antarctic a blue whale may generate'more.than 1000 horsepower, Weighing 120 tons it can travel.underwater at 16| miles hourly for two hours. Nobody knows why it does not overheat.
