GANDHI ADDRESSES PRAYER MEETING
Received Wednesday, 11.25 a.m. NEW Dti'LHI, Jan. 13. Mr. Gandhi said tonighr. that he wo/rjdd break his fast when communal harmony prevailed in Delhi. Indian capital should set an sxample to the test of the country J nnd to Pakistan. , Mr. Gandhi, leaning on two girls' shouiders, addressed a prayer nieeting. "I have undertaken a fast for the safce of the Moslems in lndia, although I am nqt trying to fiater them. "Mr. Gandhi, at night, sipped only water from a wooden spoon. He told the prayer meeting that he might be too weak lo conduct further meetings during the fast. The executive of the Congress Socialist Group in Bombay has-re-solved to urge -communal peace. "It is shameful that Mr. Gandhi is to jeoparaise his life to awaxen the cottnirys conscience."
