k Reeeived Thursdav. 7 p.m. LONDOX, .Jan. S. Deep concern lias been aroused in Italy by what The Times ' Rome correspondent deseriben as "symptoms of a mutmous spirit" in tho Italian Army. The troops affected, he says. are about 30,000 young conseripts of the 1925 elass who have been retained with tho colours beyond their normal term as a safeguard of publie order in view of the eoining general election. At Udine, Bologna, Afilan aiul Palenno they have reeently demonstrated in the streets in protest and in the Rome area yesterday about 200 of them attempted to march from the io*al eamp to the centre of the eitv. Ofhcers and police intervened and the demonstration was broken up. These developuient's, the eorrespondent adds, are taken very serioualy by all seetions of the pnblie exeept the Left extremists Avho are openlv eneouraging a spirit of mutinv.
