GURKHAS OF BRITISH ARMY IN SINGAPORE
Received Thursday, 10 a.m. SINGAPORE, Jan. 7. Gurkhas of the British Army arrived in Singapore today by air from Burma. The Gurkhas were hitherto in the Indian Army. Today's advance party of one officer and eleven other ranks will prepare camps in the Malaya Union for two battalions leaving Burma on January 12 on a troopship.
