Death In Hospital Of Levin Boy
The 12-year-o]d infantile paralysis case admitted from Levin to the Palmerston North Hospital. on December 27 died last night. He was: , DONALD BARLOW, son of Mr. K. Barlow, of Cambridge Street, Levin. A post mortem was held today, but the official report is not yet available. LATER. At a late hour this afternoon the Medical Officer of Health at Palr merston North, Dr. T. C. Lonie, advised that the post mortem had , revealed that' the cause of death was not infantile paralysis but meningitis. , « - Thus the Horowhenua district . { has not as yet had a positive case ' / of poliomyelitis.
