LONDON, Jan. 4. The A'dmiralty has announced that Rear-Admiral W. E. Parry, who commanded the Achilles at the RiVer Plate, had been promot- " ed Vice-Admiru,;. Vice-Admiral Parry has been director of naval intelligence since July, 1946.
