To provide "bags of xoom for tlie rest of us 5 the 55-year-old Earl Spencer had the* remains of 40 of his ancestors removed ' from the family vault of the 13th century church at Great Brington, Northants, and "cremated. The aslies are being placed in urns costing £20 eacili and returned to the vault. All the cofiins were of lead and had uameplates with dates going back to the 16th century. Two contained skeletons Of former Prime Ministers. Others contained the first Earl' Sunderland killed at the Battle of. Newbury and the second Earl who served Gharles and James II and William III.
