BING DENIES RETIREMENT RUMOUR
Bing Crosby denies the consistent Hoilywood rumours that he is planning to retire from films, radio and crooning. The Musicians' Union ban on phonograph recordings probably prompted the rumour to spread widely. Bing, who is 42, said that a sur-' vey shows that people want to hear him broadcast, whether they are transcribed or live programmes. "I'l] continue in the show business a? long as the public wants me," he said.
