Pprsonil Mr. and Mrs. Stan. Mitchell, now of Wellington, are among the visitors to Otaki. ' Misses Betsy and Lillian Verrent, of Te Horo, are at present in Auckland, the guests of Mrs. Esdale Green, of Onehunga. Mr. "Bill" Lithgow, at one time a resident of Otaki, is at present a patient . in the Auckland Hospital, where he underweht . a serious operation. Dance At Te Horo The dance at Te Horo on Wednesday night \Vas one of the most successful of the year. There was a large attendance, and under capable management the evening's entertainment passed pleasantly. New Year's Eve New Year's Eve in Otaki saw a large number in - the streets, including'many visitors. The crowd was- orderly. The theatre was well patronised. The Otaki Brass Band enlivened proceedings with fine selections, while parties of singers paraded various streets to the enjoyment of many. Larrikanism was conspicuous by its absence, only a few gates being removed.
