LEAGUE OF MOTHERS
MEMBERS' DAY FUNCTION
The Levin League of Mothers' monthly meeting recently took the form of a members' day. Mrs. K. E. Wilson presided and extended a welcome to members and friends, specially mentioning the provincial president, Mrs. Maunsell, of Masterton, and Mrs. Anderson, a visitor from Lower Hutt. " The thought for the month, given by Mrs. C. Andricksen, was "Today's good 'deed is tomorrow's happy memory." Mrs. Maunsell, in a shojrt address, spoke of the wonderful fello\^ship of the league and urged members to keep its ideals before them. An entertaining sketch was presented by Mesdames Anderson and 'Perigo, while Mesdames Fietcher and Devine contributed 'duets and Mrs. Anderson a humorous elocu-
tionary item. Beautiful floral sprays were presented to thes© entertainers and also to Mrs. Maunsell and the president and secretary of the League, Mesdames Nichol and Mercer, in recognition of their workduring the year. A compstition held during the afternoon was won by Mrs. Trotman.
