EIGHT DEAD IN AIR TRAGEDY

Received Sunday, 8.50 p.m. MEXICO CITY, Dec. 27. A twin-engined passenger aircraft operated by Panini Airlines crashed near the Leon public square at noon today, killing eight persons, seriously iniuring 10 and destroving three houses. Tho aircraft, which was travelling from Durango to Mexieo City, had just taken off- from Leon airport ,when it apparently developed engine Jrouhlo. It was attempting to return to the airport when it crashed. FL^ ^e of tlie eight dead were passengers and the others residents of the destroyed houses. Four of the injured were passengers.-
