WELLINGTON, Dcc. 19. The council of the Victoria Utu versitv Uollege decided at a receni. meeting that at its meeting next" February it will set up a regional councii for its district in terTns of the Adult Education Act. 1947. Under this act there will be a National Council of Adult Education for New Zealand and a Regional Council for each of the four nniversity districts. Eaeh UnR-ei-sity College Council will determine the cdnstitution of its Regional Council which will have such powers in respect of adult education as the college council may delegate to it. At least half of the members of the Regional Counhil must be appointed from noniTnees of voluntarv organisations interested in* adult education in Ihe district.
