ArCKLAXD, Dec. 19. Bevere tests of onc of the Tasman Empire Airwavs fiyinghoats, R.M.A. New Zealantl, oji Wednesday and Tliursdfiy, had proved to the coniplete satisl'action of the cohipanv and civil aviaiion authorities that the perfonnance of the hoats at an all-up weight of 60, (XHlll), fnlly met internationnl standards, stated the general manager, hlr. G. N. Koberts. He addeu that the Director of Civil Aviation, Wing Com-mander E. A. (iibson, hau authorised an immediate return to the niaxiinum of (50, 00011). As a precautioii pending the outcome of the tests, Tas nian aircraft have been flying at a nniximum weight of 5«S,(iO()lb since last Sunday. "Our great faith in the British flvingboats rrsed 011 the trans-Tasman sorvice, is, of eourse, supported by their niagnificent record, " said Alr. Koberts. " Xevertheless, it is gratifying to know that uuder rigid tests supervised by oflicials of the directorate of civil aviation, the aircraft complied. with iuternational standards and local requii'cments. " .
