KOPUTAROA W.I. MEETS

The December meeting of the Koputaroa Women's Institute was held recently, Mrs. Koberstein presiding. An invitation was received from the Kimberley W.I. to. its birthday party. A letter was read from the institute's link in England, thanking the members for a gift parcel which had been received and very much appreciated. Mr. J. Watson, of Levin, gave a' most interesting talk about the proposed community centre for the town, During the afternoon Christmas greetings and gifts were exchanged. The competitions resulted as follows: — Seniorsv Best flower. — Mrs. Lancaster. Best shrub. — Mrs. Sanson. Juniors: Best flower. — Audry Storey. The hostesses for the afternoon were Mesdames Thompson: and Ching.
