Railway Finances
An operating loss of £1,033,218 is sllown in the railway accounts for the period of the financial year from April 1 last to November 8. Details are given in yesterday's Gazette, which shows that revenue for the period amounted ' . to £9,584,240 and expenditure to £10,617,458. The railway operation loss was £1,255,581, but a profit of £222,363 on miscellaneous and subsidiary services reduced the net operating loss accordingly. For the four-weekly period ended November 8 the operating loss was £90,243.
