power board function The executive officers and staff of the Horowhenua Electric Power Board gathered yesterday to meet the members of the board at morning tea. Unfortunately pressure of *work would not allow the linesmen and outside staff to attend, but a .pleasant half-hour was spent. ! The chairman of the board, Mr. ! T. G. Vincent, expressed on behalf | of the board sineere appreciation : of the staff's work and co-opera- ; tion during c|he g^thMng ! was' sbmething tne boafd " looke'd I forward to each year. He hoped I that in the coming year there ! would be no restrictions, which jwere so "irksome" to the consumer ! and created a great deal of extra work for the members of the staff. I On behalf of the staff, the man- ! aging-secretary, Mr. R. A. Fredj erikson repiied and said that it |was very pleasing to be able to jmeet each one at such an ini formal gathering. He extended best iwishes for the festive season tb Ithe board and the staff. The engineer, Mr. J. F. Bryce, on J behalf of the outside staff, thanked [the speakers for their expressionS of goodwill.
