DRIVER SAVES BUS
AUCKLAND, Dec. 13. After eollidixig with the baclc of a motor car on the Great South Road about 7.30 on Saturday morniug a Passenger Transport Company bus with about 110 passengers mounted the footpath and caine to a stop after passing between a power pole and a faetory building, a gap only three inehes wider than the bus. The only person seriously injured was a passenger in the car, Mrs. Alice May Addison, aged 62, of Mt. Albert, who was admitted to the Auckland Hospital sull'ering from concussion and laeerations to tlie face. Four passengers in the bus were treated at the ambulance dressing station for minor cuts from glass. The bus was uot extensively damaged and was .driven awaC after the accident. Heveral passengers |ei4pi&ohed the office of the bus compahy '^p'd^kpressed their admiration of the ^dn^br's skill and presence of mind wliich, they said, saved them from more serious injury. .
