HASTINGS, Dec. 10. The higliest priee paid at Sto.rtford Lodge-for two-tooth ewes at this tiine of the season for many years, was 41s obtained at today's sale for a quality offering. One stoekman with many years of association with the yards, said he had never before seen two-tooth ewes reach that price at this time of the year. Generally the market for twotooth ewes was very strong. Tlie market for two-tooth wethers was firmer than last week. Good lines sold at 33s lOd to 34s 9d with smaller at 31s 3d. A fattening line of ewes with lambs at foot realised 28s. There was an offerin°- of only 200U head of store sheep whieh attracted the attention of a moderate gathering of buyers. Fat sheep were fully firm with competition keen for a short yarding. Prime wethers sold to 41s 4d with medium at 37s lOd to 38s lOd. Heavy ewes sold at 27s lOd, prime at 26s to 26s 7d, lighter at 24s ld to 25s 4d and young ewes at 31s 7d to 32s 4d. Woolly lioggets ranged from 34s lOd to 45s lOd and new season's lambs whieh were in short supply made 32s 7d and 35s 7d. One of tlie sniallest entries of store cattle for some time came forvvard, the yarding totalling only 100 head. It meluded some good thougli small lines and the market was strong with values fully firm on ruling rates. With a short entry of 150 head including a good proportion of beasts of weights suitable to the summer trade, beef sold on a stronger market, beuig in most instances a shade better than schedule. A eonsignment of 22 A.A. bullocks averaged £19 10s, selling at from £17 18s Od to £22 3s 6d. •Summer weight Hereford steers sold at up to £18 13s 6d. Prime Hereford eows made to £13 1.1s and prime heifers to £13 6s. An average of £13 3s 6d for A.A. heifers was olttained for a line whieh sold at from £12 13s 6d to £14 3s 6d. Quality A.A. runners were traded at £9 2s 6d to £10 15s. Medium ox realised £1(5 16s to £17 18s 6d, prime eows £12 3s 6d to £13 11s and medium £11 6s to £11 16s.
