HOROWHENUA SHOW

MEETINQ OF COMMITTEE A meeting of the general committee of the Horowhenua A. and P. Association was held in the Oddfellows' Hall, Levin, rpcently, Mr. J. A. Kilsby presiding aver a large attendance of members. Mr. Kilsby opened the meeting with reference to the death of the late Mr. L. G. Lowr^. He had been of grqat help to the association in many ways, particularly in connection with the negotiations with the Army Department, he said. Members carried a motion of sympathy with Mr. Lowry's relatives by standing in silence. Due to the impra'ctieability of cqnducting marching contests at the show, it was decided that the cups presented to the teams at the last night show should be handed over to the Horowhenua Marching A$sociation for cdmpetition as it thought fit.
