Adams, at the Itotary Club today. "It is nonsense to say that what Australia is doing now is to help Britain. Australia is and will be a net liability to the dollar pool. " Britain would be pleased if Australia could live within her dollar inconie. Last year Australia 's deficit was 100,000,000 dollars and there was little prospect of the position iniproving this year. Mr. Adams said world economy, of which Australia was an integral part, was founded on Britain. If Britain failed the whole tconoinic structure would collapse.
