RANDOLPH CHURCHILL IS NOT COMING BACK
WELLINGTON, Dee. 8. It is learned. authoritatively in Wellington that Mr. Randolpli Churchill will not returu to New Zea'land to contest the libel action against the Labour daily newspaper Southern Gross, which is set down for hoaring in Wellington on Friday. Senior counsel for Mr. Churchill is Mr. A. K. North, K.C., Auckland, who will be assisted by Mr. A. J. Mazengarb, Wellington. Mr. Churchill was due to arrive in Auckland on Thursday and was to fly to Wellington the same day to attend tlie hearing on Friday. Advice reeeivea in Wellington today stated that Mr. Churchill had found it impossible to returu to New Zealaud for the case.
