It is understood that the trouble is mostly in the crops which have been sprayed to kill the' weeds, while the crops which have been han'd weeded are. not suffering. In some cases the attacks have been so great that gardeners have been forced to plough in many acres of damaged plants. This may seriously eft'ect the onion crops at Opiki this season. "
