Hotelkeeper Fined

The licensee of the Te Pohue Hotel, Rana Wagg, was charged in the Magistrates' Court, Napier, yesterday, with refusing to supply breakfast to a client. A traveller en route from Taupo to Gisborne was told by Wagg that he must wait till a service-car arrived at 10 o'clock before he could get even a cup of tea. The man then went on to Gisborne without breakfast and there lodged a complaint with the police. Mr. McLachlan, S.M-, fined Wagg £5.
