WELLINGTON, Dec. 9. 4 During the past week, and parrtf ticularly over the last two dayalK the Railways Department ana hotels in Wellington have reeeived considerable cancellations of tickets and accommodation owing to the infantile paralysis epidemic and the public's desire to stay at home. * The Railways Department stated ,that trains would not be nearly as heavily booked this Christmas period, as apart from cancellations there had been a considerable falling off in the number of reservations.
