BRITISH EMPIRE "PASSED ITS ZENITH"
Received (Sundav, S.35 p.m. \V AhS H IX GTOX, Dee. 6. The American Army told its troops that the British Entpire has ' ' passed its' Zenith," but acknovvledged that it was in no danger of falling apart. The Armv pamphlet entitled: "What is the Future of the British Empire?" was distributed to coinmanders for use in informing the troops. lt is one of a series designed to acquaint American troops with social, political and military comlitions in the world, The pamphlet said: "Though Britain mav be losing strength in Asia and the Alediterranean — and that is far from certain — developinents in Africa may be an ofi'setting factor. ' ' The Army reminded its .troops that when a band plavs " God Bave the Iving," one-fourth of the people of the world still stand up.
