LEVIN BEAT OTAKI RAILWAY
Five rinks from the Levin Bowling Club journeyed to Otaki on Saturday and met Otaki Railway in a match for the handsome Webster Rose Bowl. Levin emerge'd successful, winning ""three of the five games and scoring 106 points to Otaki Railway's 79. Detailed results were as follows, Levin rinks being mentioned first in each instance: Moss, F. Kilsby, Laurie, Childs (s) 27; beat Kirk, Neilson, Bailey, Booth (s) 11. Hughes, Vincent, Sherwood, Hill (s) 20; beat Buxton, Knox, Hannah, Henderson (s) 14. Long, McCarty, Barnes, Larsen (s) 25; beat Ralph's rink 16. W. Kilsby, R. Jones, Lemmon, Hunter (s) 18; lost to Jarman, Hakaraia, Watt, D. Webster (s) 19. Boulton, Mackay, Burnham, McClune (s) 16; lost to Dixon, Hart, Rule, Symonds (s) 19. At the conclusion of games, Mr. F. W. G. Rule, president of the Otaki Railway Club, congratulated the visitors on their success and voiced the hope that they had spent an enjoyable afternoon. Mr. W. C. Childs, president of the Levin Club, thanked the home club for its hospitality and said. how enjoyable the day had been to his members. His club would look forward to a visit from Otaki Railway and the opportunity of returning the hospitality.
