One mterestmg pomt about suggestions now flooding into film offices in London, for production of British series pictures, is the lack of dempnd for either Jarqes Mason, Stewart Granger or Margaret Lockwood. Most popular demand is for the British equilavent of the Hardy Family or Rudd Family series with Stanley Holloway or Jack Warner as Dad, Kathleen Harrison as Mum, Jimmy Hanley as the son, Sally Gray as the grown-up daughter, David Farrar as her young man, Petula Clarke as the young daughter, with posSibly Gordon Harker as the uncle. Other demands are for a series of Peter Cheyney "Slim Callaghan" stories, "Bulldog Drummond" (Robert Newton) , "Dick Burton" (Trevor Howard) and "Peter Wimsey" (David Niven) .
