Personal Mrs. Vic. Noble, who has been 011 holiday at Lower Hutt, returned home on Thursday night. Mr. Leslie G'imblett, who has been in hospital as the result of a motor car accident, has returned to his home at OtaKi. He is, however, still under medical aitention. Fire Board Meeting The quarterly meeting of the Otaki Fire Board will be held on Thursday next. Otaki Bus for Levin Dance A free bus will leave Otaki this evening for the Horowhenua Marchmg Association's dance in uhe Regent Hail, Levin. Otaki Races A limitea number of buses will leave Wellington at 9 a.m. for the Otaki races, returning after the last race. The first race scarts at 11 'a.m. Clean-up Week A correspondent writes suggesting that a "clean-up" week be held xn the borougii pnor to the Cnnstx'as vacation, a suggestion to which 110 doubt the Borough Council will give consideration. . Aowling Tournament The Otaki Railway Bowling Club will hold a tournament tomorrow, commencing at 10.30 a.m. A numoer of visiting rinks have signified their intention of being present. Otaki Athlelic Sports For the sports tQ be held on Saturday, January 10, severai valuable trophies will be competed for, including the Wei Gordon Memorial uup, tne Dave Ricnards' Cup, the Ossie Pussell Memorial Cup, the Slakeway Memorial Cup, the Gil-j bert White Memorial Cup, and the Wnit MacLeod Memorial Cup. The prize rnoney is also substantial, and should be the means of drawing competito'rs from many parts. Entries close oh December 19.
