TRAIN SMASH AS RESULT OF SWITCHING
Reeeived Tliursdav, 8.5 p.m. SYDNEY, Dec. 4. Six people wero injured, none soriously, when a train from Sydney to Richmond, erashed into the rear of a atationarv goods train at Riverstone, an outer suburb of Sydney, today. Over 100 passengers wero thrown in heaps and the engine and two carriages of the passenger train were ."derailed. 1'arts of tho carriages were smashed and bulfers damaged. An eye-witness . said . that tho passenger train switched unexpectedly from thq main Hue into the siding in a manner similar to' that which resulted in the recent fatal accident at Tamaree siding.
