The total forces of Haganah (the Jewish resistance movement) , estimated to number 80,000 will be fully alerte'd throughout Palestine from tonight to guard against fur--ther outbreaks of Arab violence says -Reuter's Jerusalem correspondent. Arabs stoned airline cabs travelling to Lydda Airport and beat up one Jewish driver. Nineteen Jews and fifteen Arabs have been killed in Palestine since the adoption of the partition plan. Reuter's Cairo correspondent reports that about 5G00 demonstrators rushed the BriMsh Consulate in Alexandria this afternoon. The police kept them off with emptv trams and police Iorries. Demonstrators in Baghda'u wrecked a British kindergarten and attacked tlie informatior office at the Ameriean Embassy They also stoned B.O.A.C. offices. The Secretary-General of the Arab League, Abdul Rahman Azzam Pasha, in Camo has called for enlistments for fighting in Palestine:
