"Baracha," Burke's Pass, who won the first prize in the art Union yesterday is Mrs. R. C. Kiigour, wife of the licensee of the Burke's Pass Hotel. The ticket was purchased ' in Timaru by her son, and the nom de plume chosen was after a racehorse which Mrs. Kilgour had backed with mixed fortune. "This is the best dlvidend t have ever had off him," she said.
