BOWLING CLUB'S ACTIVITIES

There was quite a good representation of Shannon bowlers at the Foxton green last weekend when the local club was enlertained by the Foxton Club. A most enjoyable day was spent and many interesting games played. The activities of the local club next Saturday will be somewhat varied. A rink comprisng T. Bell, V. J. Bateman, F. Pieard and H. Karena will play for the Huntley trophy against a Foxton rink at the local green A match in the >Kinnebergh Feathers competition will be played against Levin Central on their green on Saturday, the local rink being Messrs. N. Batt, L. Hook, R. Hook and I. P. Hemmingsen. The remaining players on the home green will play first round flxtures in the club championship pairs competition. On Sunday members of the Levin Central Club vwill be the guests of the local club in a series of friendly games. Local players are requested to be: present in f orce, and to be on the green at 10 a.m.
