MEETING OF COMMITTEE A meeting of the committee of the Shannon Cricket Club was held on Friday evening, / when it was decide'd to play a friendly match with a team from the Palmerston North railway on Sunday next. Permission was : granted the secretary to purcliase j playing material and ground equip- j ment. The secretary, Mr. C. Mor- j tiner, reported on the arrange- j ments in connection with the cuting of the grass in the domain. A vote of thanks to the chair terminated the business.
