INVERCARGILL, Dec. 2. Ileavy iosses oi glasses Rave been experieneed by Ihe Invercargill Lieensing Trust during tlie past four montlis. The t otu 1 losl or brolcen in one hotel in that period has been 172 dozen including 70 dozen 10 ounee, 70 dozen 5 ounee and more than 30 dozen glasses of other sizes. The see r e t ary-m anager of the trust, Mr. E. B. Barnett, said today that ii glasses kept disappearing and bemg brokeu at the rate they had been, ;the time would coine wheit customers would have to take their own containers to hotels when tliey wanted a drink. Glasses were in sliort supply and teplaeement was a main probleui. .Losses suffered by the trust averaged 17s 6d a day. In future pers'ons caught stealing glasses would be prosecuted.
