PROSPECTS OF FRENCH RUGBY UNION TOUR
Received Monday, 7 p.m. LONDON, Dee. 1. The prospects. of arranging a Prench Rngby Union tour of -New Zealand this coming season, are bright, said Mr. G. A. Maddison, a member of the New Zealand Rugby Union Couneil, in 'an interview. Mr. Maddison, who recently visited Paris in eompany with Mr. P. E. iSutherland, another member of the New Zealand Union, said transport arrangements for the pa,rty whieh would number 30, presented considerable diffieulties but it was hoped these could be overcome. If shipping passages were unavailable it migh't be possible to fly the team to New Zealand. The present plans provide that the Frenchmen should arrive in May and end the to'nr in October.
