BOS MURPHY WINS HIS FIRST BOUT ON K.O.
Received Tuesday, 11.20 a.m. LONDON, Dec. 2. The former New Zealand welterweight champion, Bos Murphy, in an eiglit round contest at Aiberi Hail, iviiocked out the Jamaican, Roy Petersen, in the seventh round. Murphy was having his first fighi in England. He injured his r^ghu hand in the first round and thereafter he used only his left. Murphy in ihe seconu round toon the couni of three from a vicious left hook, but, boxing superbly, kept Petersen at bay with his left for round aftei round. The New Zealander increased the pressure in the sixth and seventh rounds, and knockea the Jamaican out with a perfectlytinu d left hook.
