Mr. R. Cull, of Foxton, has been admitted as a lay reader of All Saints' Church for the FoxtonShannon parochial district. At a meeting of the Foxton Borough Council, Cr. S. G. R. Small was appointed Deputy Mayor of Foxton. The Rev. J. H. Datson, vicar of Foxton, who also conducts the services at the Shannon Church "of England, has been appointed vicar of Lyall Bay. Mr. Datson, who was educated at Parkin College, Adelaide, was ordained deacon in 1925 and priest in 1926. He expects totake, up his new po'sition early in the new year.
