AUCKLAND, Nov. 30. An estate valued for probate at under £80.000, the bulk of whicli has been bequeathed to public cliarities ancl social and patriotie organisations, has been left by Miss Edith Rose Isaacs wlio died on November 11 at the age of 82. Miss Isaacs was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Edward Isaacs who were among Auckland 's pioneer settlers. The principal bequesf is one of £10,000 to be devoted to the furtheranee of medical research in New Zealand for the prevention of illness and disease and the alleviation of human suffering. For .the purpose of givjng effect to her intention the testratrix desires her sole- exeeutor, the Guardian Trust and Executors Co., of New Zealand, Ltd., to eonfer witli the executive of the. British IMedical Association in Auckland and she suggests that the fund may be devoted to the ereation of scholarships or bursaries or the equipment of any institutioa, 1
